Annotation Objective of the study was to evaluate the working capabilities of the respiratory system in those undergoing volleyball training. Methods and structure of the study. The experiment involved 37 completely healthy young men who, over the past year and a half, trained in the volleyball section for at least an hour per training session: four times in a week - 11 young men, three times in a week - 12 young men, twice in a week - 14 young men. The control group consisted of 15 healthy, physically inactive young men. In all cases, the parameters of the respiratory system were recorded, followed by statistical processing of the data found. Results and conclusions. Those who systematically trained in the volleyball section had high values of volume and velocity characteristics of the pulmonary system. The greatest degree of their development was noted among volleyball players who attended the section four times a week. It is clear that volleyball training, as it becomes more frequent, strengthens the muscles of the chest and upper shoulder girdle, expands the bronchi and increases overall physical capabilities. It can be assumed that during volleyball training in the body there is an increase in the morphofunctional parameters of the respiratory system and muscles that implement the breathing process, which intensifies as volleyball practices become more frequent.
