dc.description.abstract	Accurate calculations of reservoir characteristics such as porosity and permeability are required to correctly estimate reservoir oil reserves. There is no direct dependence between rock permeability and porosity. A typical form of coupling is the nonlinear dependence of permeability on porosity. When using this information to predict permeability according to well logging, it is necessary to take into account the variability of the coefficients of the equations depending on the lithotype of rocks and sedimentation conditions.
