Annotation

This study guide is the first attempt over the last decades to concentrate the international experience and best practices of the external relations of state regions. It considers the general legal and regulatory provisions of the international and foreign economic relations of regions within the Russian Federation and analyses the positive experience of foreign countries and Russian regions. The successful experience of the Republic of Tatarstan in the implementation of national foreign relations is illustrated for a complex of fields: law, economics, education, science, culture and protocol. The authors deliberately use the same factual and statistical material in different chapters of the study guide in order to establish a systematic understanding of the international activities of the regions and facilitate the interpretation of a large number of accompanying documents. The book is intended for bachelors and masters in the fields of International Relations and Foreign Regional Studies, managers and specialists of diplomatic and consular services, and protocol.
