Annotation

В статье осуществлена попытка осмысления практики европейских командировок российских ученых во второй половине XIX в. в ее связи с официальными идеологическим и националистическим дискурсами империи. Исходным основанием для исследования является амбивалентность государственной политики научных командировок, необоснованно трактуемая в историографии в пользу неприятия государством данной практики. Авторами исследования выявлена принципиальная связь между системой научных командировок и принципами идеологии министра народного просвещения С.С. Уварова. Указанная взаимосвязь сохраняется и прослеживается в риторике и политике его приемников во второй половине XIX в., позволяя по-новому взглянуть на позицию государства в вопросе взаимодействия русской интеллектуальной элиты с европейским научным сообществом. The paper is devoted to the comprehension practice of European business trips of Russian scientists in the second half of the XIX century in its connection with the official ideological and nationalist discourses of the empire. The initial basis for the study is the ambivalence of the state policy of scientific trips, which is mistakenly interpreted in historiography in favor of the state's rejection of this practice. The author reveals a fundamental connection between the travel system and the principles of the ideology of the Minister of Public Education S. S. Uvarov. This relationship is preserved and can be traced in the rhetoric and policy of his successors in the second half of the XIX century, allowing a new look at the position of the state in the issue of interaction of the Russian intellectual elite with the European scientific community.
