The article discusses various aspects of the formation of a socially responsible approach of designing among students which are studying design at Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University in such disciplines as design history and theory, as well as history of art. Mainly the ecological component of the problem of sustainable development is discussed. The issues of history of formation of the social responsibility of the designer, the ecological approach in design, sustainable design are touched upon. The issues of perception of sustainable development by design students are investigated. The importance of an ecological culture that guides and supports the designer is emphasized. The importance of aesthetic understanding of the problem of forming a sensual image of nature, planet and human is emphasized in order to get a response from the public, attracting attention to the problems of sustainable development. Examples of collaboration between science, art, and design are given. |
