The present study is the initial stage of a bigger project aimed at using
IF for foreign language learning purposes. We used the software Twine which is a tool for writing creative non-linear interactive stories. Firstly, we studied the software Twine. Secondly, we chose three fables from a Selection of stories and adopted them to the genre of IF in Twine. The narrative was in the English language. The fables were designed for preschoolers learning English as a foreign language, so we made a focus on vocabulary and spelling. Implementation of the stories into the practice of teaching a foreign language is currently planned as the next stage within the project and the authors did not consider this issue within the present research. |
