Annotation |
The article aims at studying the place of simulation/roleplay have in this process and its specific features. The study was conducted in Kazan Federal University where 74 third-course students took part in the experiment. The authors describe the ways roleplays and simulations are introduced into the English classroom, examples of supplying study books with roleplay tasks are supplied. The methods used to explore the problem were observation and questionnaire administered to the students at the end of the course and their analysis that has allowed the authors to come to a number of conclusions. The most valuable of them is that introduction of simulation/roleplay into the study process have a significant influence on both students' academic performance as well as their formation of their pedagogic competences. The findings also showed that simulation/roleplay in the process of training foreign language teachers should be well-planned and organized, some advice concerning it is given by the author. The study outcomes could be highly important for teachers of universities preparing future foreign language teachers. |
