Among the many problems that a teacher encounters when teaching foreign students English, an important place is occupied by the study of the linguistic aspects of Interlingua speech activity.
With the expansion of international relations, many students from Turkmenistan and other countries of Central Asia are studying at Kazan federal University. The English language and the Russian language help the communication of multilingual students for whom knowledge of these languages is a necessity to study at Kazan federal University. Therefore, the need to compare the English, Russian, Tatar and Turkmen languages arose. This study helps to eliminate misunderstandings and facilitate the acquisition and use of knowledge of English and Russian by foreign Turkmen students, as well as the usage of English by students who speak Tatar. When teaching a foreign language by foreign-language students we inevitably are confronting bilingualism. When this interaction of the two languages either positive or negative occurs some influence takes place. A negative influence of the native language on the process of mastering a foreign language, i.e. interference takes place and there also can be the positive influence of the native language knowledge when learning a foreign language.
Any language, first of all, serves to communicate, transfer thoughts and exchange information. The communicative goal cannot be achieved without the presence of semantic content. That is why the meaning occupies the main place in the study of a language. In this article we will consider, analyze and compare color-adjectives in proverbs, sayings and phraseological units of the English, Russian, Tatar and Turkmen languages, as well as the possibility of using them in teaching students, therefore the comparative analysis is the basis for learning foreign languages. Phraseological units of any language reflect many aspects of a person's life and can be classified from the point of view of a general concept, a common idea embedded in one or another group of phraseological units. Studying the similarities and differences of phraseological units with color semantics on the basis of a comparative approach allows us to obtain information about the interpretation of the world outlook in individual languages.
The aim of our study is to facilitate the study of English phraseological units, proverbs and sayings by foreign students, to know their semantics deeply and to apply them widely in oral speech.
The task of the study is to conduct a lexical-sematic analysis and compare the use of color-adjectives in English, Russian, Tatar and Turkmen in proverbs, sayings and phraseological units.
