Annotation |
This article examines the image of the author in the diaries of Georgii Efron, the son of Marina Tsvetaeva. As this image is created, it becomes clear which sources form the “poetics of alienation,” dominant in the structure of the authorial ego, within the diary. The goal of the present discussion is to show that a large part of Efron's (or Mur, as he was called at home) diary was really part of a strategy for creating an image of the Other in the process of his fixation on lived experience. In Efron's diary, what appears is an orientation towards literariness, the position of an estranged observer, an original kind of “dandyism,” a view of Russian life that seems external, and an opposition between oneself and other people. |
