  • Bibliographic description in the original language The author in this paper determined the coefficient of porosity from well log data and carried on a study of core samples using X-ray microtomography and traditional methods. A method was elaborated and later tested for measurement of porosity of samples taken from the production interval of shallow super viscous oil deposits of the Tatarstan?s Republic. Also determination of mineralogical composition and characteristics of the reservoir rock for application to future steam flooding experiments. On the basis of the data obtained, was concluded which of the methods gives the most reliable information on this of the reservoir rock under study.
