dc.description.abstract	The authors of this research emphasize the special importance of necessity of formation of students of higher educational institutions of ability to think critically, abilities to think, estimate, analyze that are very important for their future professional career irrespective of in what field of science or the sphere of human activity they will be demanded. In the present article the problem of formation of critical thinking of students of higher education institution in the course of training of English rises. Both the theoretical, and practical ideas directed to formation of ability to think critically are considered.
