    Annotation The geology of the Artinskian-Kungurian boundary bedsof the Mechetlino section is discussed andthe main fossil groups represented in the section (conodonts, ammonoids, foraminifers, brachiopods, fishes, trilobites) are described. The phylogeny and evolution of of conodont and ammonoid genera are considered. The distribution of characteristic assemblages in the section is shown in detail, and their changes in time is analyzed.
