dc.description.abstract	The article deals with the analysis of Code-Switching. The study reported in this paper centers on the functions motivating code switching in social life – Instagram page. The data for the article was collected from Instagram page of Tatar artist (female) from the beginning of January till the end of March 2018 (more that 700 posts were analyzed). The author comes to the idea that code-Switching (CS) is very common among multi - or bilinguals who switch between different languages communicating with each other. The study presents a literature review of the world science, describes the development, establishment and history both abroad and in the Russian sciences, examples of real-life situations faced by modern people. The results of the experiment are sketched on the diagram and presented with the examples in Tatar language. The author came to a conclusion that the most common functions for this study are “Habitual Expressions” and “Lack of registral competence”. In the course o	ru_RU
