Annotation This article is devoted to the study of the translation of the works of the famous writer Chingizia Aitmatov in the context of studying the activity of the Tatar translation school. The Tatar translation school has a century-long history. Particularly actively translated into the Tatar language works of Russian-speaking writers of the Soviet period - in the second half of the twentieth century. Many works of Ch. Aitmatov, which determine the whole epoch in history, both national and Russian and world literature, were translated in due time into the Tatar language. His work is very close in spirit to the Tatar literature, as the writer's roots on the part of the mother historically originate from the noble Tatar family Khamza Gabdulvalieva. Many of Aitmatov's novels such as «Jamilya«, « My poplar in the Red kerchief«, «Mother's Field«, «Camel's Eye« were translated into Tatar at one time; novels - «And more than a century lasts a day,« «Plough« and others.
