dc.description.abstract	The article attempts to correlate the ideological models of imperial construction, presented in the compositions of two writers, Russian and English. Similarities and differences in the understanding of what the «fatherland» and «foreign land» for them are demonstrated, and also by what national determinants these concepts were determined. Between the writer-artist and the writer-ideologist, as a rule, lies large differences, they do not always coincide. Nevertheless, the clarification of the ideological positions of two classical authors in a comparative perspective makes it possible to clarify the ty-pology of imperial views.	ru_RU
