dc.description.abstract	For centuries, the Tatars lived in different parts of Russia. Today they live in such places as the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Chuvash Republic, Western Siberia, Orenburg, Ekaterinburg, Ulyanovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Samara, Saratov, Tambov, and others. Folklorists are interested in oral folk arts, in customs and traditions of the people living in these areas, which were formed under the influence of geographical conditions, and the influence of neighbours. During the 20th century, there was a great activity aimed at collecting folklore of Tatars living in different parts of the country. To this end, various expeditions were organized, the collected materials were studied, they also were classified according to the genre, and textbooks, anthologies, multi-volume books were published. This article is devoted to the analysis of the folklorists' study of the traditions of the Tatars living in the Mordovia Republic and Penza region.	ru_RU
