Annotation

The work presents a study of wooden beams from the Assumption Cathedral in the Island Town of Sviyazhsk, which is a unique object of cultural heritage of the XVI century. The xylotomic analysis of five samples taken from the logs showed that the investigated wood belongs to the species Pinus sylvestis L. (Scots pine). Five floating chronologies (USP) of different lengths were obtained as a result of tree-ring analysis.
