Annotation The paper deals with one of the possible mechanisms of changes in the filtration properties due to colmatation of reservoir pore space suspended clay particles. The particles can get together with the injected water into injection wells or mobilized into the reservoir through suffusion process. Experimental studies were carried out on samples of the porous medium with tracking changes in the permeability coefficient in the injection of a solution containing suspended clay particles. A mathematical model of the process was built. Theoretical results were calculated by the model and show good agreement between calculated and experimental data.
