Annotation The effects of MS medium even alone or supplemented with different concentrations and combinations of plant growth regulator on the maximum callus induction in vitro from different explants of Hyoscyamous muticus L. (family Solanaceae) were studied. After two months BAP in combination with NAA recorded to be the most effective for in vitro callus production in this study. Root explants recorded to be the most effective for the maximum callus production in vitro followed by leaf explant. Maximum mean fresh weight of callus formed per explant (31.56 mg) with a maximum dry weight (1.04 mg) were obtained on MS medium supplemented with 1.0 mg/l BAP in combination with 0.5 mg/l NAA using root explants after two months.
