Annotation The article is devoted to the analysis of different forces involved in the processes of reform of Islamic educational system. Some of it's distinctive features go back to the previous periods of Tatar Islamic society development, others depend on contemporary socio-politic situation in Russian Federation and all over the world. Determining tendency now is a growing control from governmental and state structures upon Islamic society and especially Islamic education. This state control implemented by two main means: 1) by police control of some foreign graduates and prevent them from teaching at local mardasas and 2) by indirect financing of Islamic educational reforms in the spirit of Hanafi-madhab historically approved traditions. Article also contents some data and statistics about current madrasas in Tatarstan, the number of students, disciplines taught and number of hours devoted to different courses.
