Bibliographic description in the original language Mulussa F Formation (Upper Triassic) is one of the important geological formations constituting the Mulussa Group in Syria. The sediments of this formation spread mainly in the North East part of the country and takes its importance in the Euphrates Graben. Mulussa F deposits form the secondary reservoir and contain almost 50% of the hydrocarbon potential through the area. The petrological investigations and geophysical analyses of well logs enabled to split the formation into three members, from bottom to up; (MUF3, MUF2 and MUF1). Each member consists of a set of units and subunits. Petrological study showed that the sediments of the formation consist of floodplain claystones (kaolinite / illite) interbedded with mostly medium ?grained fluviatile sandstones, lagoonal and shallow-marine dolomitic shales and dolomites are present in the lower and part of the formation. The carbonate sediments are generally absent from the formation sediments unless at the base of the lower member MUF3,
