The article consideres a game-based approach to teaching ESL in higher school Nowadays educational games should
be applied in higher school at different stages of teaching ESL. Game techniques increase the
efficiency of the language study, take into account individual peculiarities and interests of the students, develop their cultural and communicative competences, remove the barriers in communication in English, and contribute to the realization of an active approach to teaching ESL.
In addition, game techniques create the immersive context of future professional activity and
communication, which provides a unique opportunity for students to practice their competencies in
situations of professional interaction, stimulating their reflective skills and, most importantly,
forming the positive attitude to the future profession. |
