dc.description.abstract	Food security in a region is not only an important area of research, but also of public policy. It is a powerful geopolitical factor and the main instrument for achieving sustainable socio-economic processes in a region. The authors proposed analysis technique which allows comprehensively to assess the level of food security in a region as a whole and its constituent subjects of the Russian Federation, to trace the dynamics of change for a number of periods relatively with similar indicators in the country, to identify strengths and weaknesses of a region and its subjects in order to improve management efficiency .	ru_RU
