dc.description.abstract	In this article we present a comparative analysis of the general trends of change in the frequency of use of emotive lexicon during the last two centuries in English, French, German, Russian, Spanish and Italian languages. For this we use the well-known data set Google Books Ngram. In this paper we present for the first time data on the relative frequency of use of positive and negative emotions in six major European languages, and introduce the index of satisfaction with life as the difference of the frequencies of use of positive and negative emotions. Also, some nontrivial regularities in the dynamics of this index are detected. However, the first results produced with the help of Google Books Ngram appear quite interesting and unexpected, and require a deeper analysis.	ru_RU
