Annotation

The significance of the problem under study is determined by long-standing needs of filling up the papers on coverage the representation of the category of intensity by the units of word-formation level in contrasting multi-structural languages. The intensifying means at the level of word formation within the context of the present study are suffixal formants of noun derivatives. The article aims at representing the main results of contrastive-comparative study of the expression of the category of intensity in Russian and German by the units of word formation level. The key approaches to investigating this problem are functional-semantic approach and cognitive approach. Today this approach is one of prospective scientific fields in our country and abroad.
