dc.description.abstract	The article analyzes manifestations of humanistic ideas in journalistic works of Gabdula Tukai. All social and political essays by G. Tukai vividly reflect the humanistic principles and traditions. He continued the advanced traditions of enlightenment through his social and political journalism. Understanding enlightenment as education and familiarization of the youth with the world culture, Tukai considered dissemination of literature, art among people, press development to be the means toward the progress. Not only the content but also the form of his works is truly national. The article points out a particular style of writing in Tukai?s works, the proximity to spoken language. The most important instrument of realization of humanistic ideas is journalism. G. Tukai criticized the use of periodical press as the subject of sale for profit, he defended the humanistic ideals of his time, initiated the most progressive and democratic publications in Uralsk and Kazan, he reflected urgent	ru_RU
