dc.description.abstract	A word-combination ?experience of history?, ?historical experience? is widely used in philosophy, history etc, but its meaning is vague, there is no definition of this concept in scientific literature. The notion ?historical experience? can be used in two main meanings: as ?experience of history? and as ?historian?s experience? thus it has ontological and gnosiological aspects and plays an important role both in speculative and epistemological philosophy of history. Within the frame of the ontological approach historical experience can be interpreted as a characteristics and a result of practical and cognitive activity in the process of transforming of social reality. It entails mankind?s knowledge and experience accumulated during its activity. The main function of historical experience is to maintain social continuity in historical development.	ru_RU
