    Annotation Michael Chabon's 2007 novel The Yiddish Policemen's Union presents the postmodernist narration, the synthesis of the genres of hard-boiled detective story, alternative history and dystopia. The authors of the article focuses their attention on the realization of the trauma theory in the novel with the help of grotesque as an artistic means.
