Nuclear resonance spectroscopic techniques, including Mössbauer spectroscopy and nuclearmagnetic/quadrupole resonance (NMR/NQR) methods, are considered as promising tools for a study of the typomorphic properties of minerals and natural crystal structures, including nondestructive identification and characterization of multiphase samples [1-3]. Some of the most important components of commercial copper ores, chalcopyrite CuFeS2 and chalcocite Cu2S have been studied by 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy and 63,65Cu NMR/NQR spectroscopy, respectively. The aim of the study was the generation and comparison of data variability depending on the
nature of samples, clarification of some of the crystal structural features at different temperatures and the consideration of the spectroscopic parameters as potential database for perspective
remote spectrometers for the purposes of geological exploration and other applications requiring accurate mineral characterization on-site. |
