Annotation

The article shows the main results of the research, concerning the attitude of the citizens of Kazan, engaged in the sphere of housing and utilities infrastructure, to energy saving and environment conservation in every-day activities. The main idea of the research is the necessity of emphasis of attention to energy saving among the citizens as the main part of the solution of the problem of low energy efficiency of Russian economy. It was stated that the management of energy costs in households, the priority in the choice of products with the high level of energy efficiency and the formation of citizens' awareness in the activities, aimed at environment conservation, are the most important criteria of the participation of society in the solution of the problem of the increase of energy efficiency of Russian economy.
