Недавние наблюдения на радарах некогерентного рассеяния (ISR) в Аресибо, Миллстоун Хилл, и Poker Flat AMISR показали постоянное присутствие непрерывных квази-периодических волн с периодами около 1 часа в F области. Это явление было названо как Повсеместные когерентные флуктуации в ионосфере (COFIs). Такие изменения, присутствуют круглосуточно и характер их происхождения не ясен. Эти колебания имеют много сходных черт с ПИВ, которые наблюдаются на ионозонде. Выполнено сравнение результатов измерений. |
