Annotation

The paper presents the binary model organizing proverbs as the archetypic method of cognizing the world born in myth subsoil, the cornerstone of naive and language pictures of the world, while keeping the importance in the normative-values field of modern culture. The initial sense of a number of famous Russian proverbs is interpreted in correlation with mythological-poetical model of the world of ancient Slavs, with motives and images of other genres of folklore.
