Will there be any meeting on 2nd of September?
Are we going to completely stay at home from September to November, or will there be days when we have to show up at the university?
Will there be any activities for freshmen before the start of their study process?
How can we get logins and passwords in the KFU Yandex account?
No face-to-face meetings, classes, or events are scheduled until November. The interaction of students with supervisors, tutors, teachers and the administration of the Institute will be organized in a remote format. In the first week of September, there will be an online consultation hour on the Yandex Teleconference platform. Before the consultation hour, the supervisor will contact you and provide information about the time of this consultation and send you a link to connect.
1st year students! You can find the username and password in the applicant's personal account. If access to the applicant's personal account is limited, you can ask the supervisor.
The schedule of consultations in September-October 2024, as well as methodological materials for independent work for the disciplines of the 1st semester, which will help you prepare for theoretical and practical study process, have already been published on the main page of the IFMB website. The draft schedule of full-time lectures, practical and laboratory classes for the 1st semester of the 2024/25 academic year (November-February) will also be published in early September.
At the same time, if necessary, students, who are in Kazan at the moment can contact with the dean's office in person from Monday to Friday from 13.00 to 17.00 or ask questions by phone or by e-mail deansoffice@kpfu.ru (Kazan, Karl Marx str., 76, building №1, room 201).
When will the students get their student cards?
Student cards will be issued to students by the time when full-time attendance study begins, as students arrive at KFU (for more information, contact the dean's office).
What are these consultations, when, how and how many times a week will consultations take place?
Consultations are the format of interaction between students and a teacher, which allows them to get acquainted with the subject, the history of the department, the thematic plan, the point-rating system for evaluating knowledge, as well as prepare for subsequent theoretical and practical study process. The schedule of consultations in September-October 2024 has already been published on the main page of the IFMB official website.
KFU IFMB's “31.05.01 General Medicine” curriculum has received a 5-year international accreditation certificate.
The external expert committee of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (НААР/IAAR) had been working in KFU between 5th and 7th of June 2024. The experts held a specialized WFME-based international quality classifications accreditation.
The presentation of this certificate consolidates the KFU IFMB's “31.05.01 General Medicine” curriculum's conformity with the European Education Standards Guarantees (ESG) and the qualifications of the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME).
This accreditation promotes the possibilities and opportunities of an academic mobility and increases the University's attractiveness for foreign applicants.
Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology (IFMB) is one of the most intensively developinginstitutes of Kazan Federal University. The Institute consists of more than 60 subdivisions: departments, research laboratories, museums, the Botanical Garden, etc. The Institute's clinical base is currently at the Kazan University Clinic.
