Research activities are focused on the study of the spatial structure and the intramolecular mobility of organic and bioorganic compounds.

The goal of the Project is to establish conformations and a three-dimensional structure (coordinates of atoms in the pdb format) of a number of drugs in solutions and in complexes with cell membrane models using modern methods of NMR spectroscopy.

As the study drugs selected:

• Several statins (reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood)
• Pyridoxine derivatives and quaternary phosphonium salts of pyridoxine derivatives [KFU, Pharma-2020 program]
• Several protegrins (PG-1 - PG-5) exhibiting antimicrobial activity
• Various types of insulin (human, bovine), the pharmacological properties of which consist in reducing blood glucose concentration
