'Languages penetrate each other, have an impact on each other, and change each other'

On 20th of June at the KFU Scientific library took place the official opening of the V International scientific and practical conference “Foreign languages in the modern world: actual problems of the languages teaching for the professional and special aims”.

Plenary meeting was opened by the welcoming speech held by Vice-rector for scientific work of the KFU Danis Nurgaliev and Vice-rector for international relations Linar Latypov.

Afterwards the Director of the KFU Institute of language, Dr. Tatyana Ivanova, made a report. She spoke about the importance of languages knowledge in a modern world. Scientists from the different parts of Russia and the foreign colleagues shared their experience on the conference. Spanish language and translation teacher (program of the Ministry of foreign affairs) of the Udmurt State University Anhel Losano Ernandes told about the process of foreign languages training: from the communication basics to the use of language in the professional sphere. He highlighted the levels of foreign languages training, European training methods with the reference on his native language – Spanish.

Especially emotional was the report by the Methodist in the development of English language educational programs Andy Noonan. He has drawn attention to the point that nowadays the priority while learning foreign languages is the vocabulary and the grammar deserves just the secondary focus. 

In the conference framework master-classes took place held by the Methodist Andy Noonan and Regional coordinator of the British Council I. Minniakhmetov.
