Alexander Khudilainen, Head of the Republic of Karelia, visited KFU

On July 17, Alexander Khudilainen, the Head of the Republic of Karelia, visited Kazan University. The delegation of Karelia included the heads of ministries and authorities, and the executives of industrial enterprises and universities.  

The guests were accompanied by Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade, Riyaz Minzaripov, KFU Vice-Rector for Education, Andrey Kiyasov, Director of KFU Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, and Andrey Krylov, Director of KFU External Relations Office.

The guests got acquainted with the activity of Regional Engineering Centre of Medical Simulators of KFU and learned about new approaches to the doctors training.

Alexander Khudilainen shared his impressions with the journalists and told about the aim of his visit to the region, “Tatarstan is an absolute leader in many sectors. After the visit, we shall make up a plan of how to use Tatarstan’s experience in many sectors, including education.”  

“I am intended to invite the President of Tatarstan to Karelia. Everything I have seen in KFU today excites general admiration. It is a great job and desire to improve everything to the best. The conviction and pride the Director of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology speaks on the future, shows that they are doing a great and important job here.”

In the afternoon the guests visited the IT park, educational and medical institutions, and sport venues. Then they returned to KFU for a presentation of the university and a tour to the History Museum.
