Track and field athletes from KFU in the finals of Russian Universiade

On June 27-30, Penza hosted the track and field athletics finals of the IV All-Russian Summer Universiade.

The winners of federal districts legs of the competition, the students of 17 Russian universities, participated in the finals. The teams were represented by Masters of Sports of Russian and international class. The traditional athletics session included high jump, long jump, running (distance from 100 to 5000 metres), disc and hammer throw, and others. The KFU team showed the 5th result.   

Here are the results of our students:

1st place triple jump - Ruslan Samitov (Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Restorative Medicine);
2nd place 400 m running -  Alina Safiullina (Institute of Computer Mathematics and Information Technologies);
2nd place 800 m running Natalya Grigorieva (Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Restorative Medicine);
2nd place 1500 m running and  3rd place 3000 m running Alsou Bogdanova (Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Restorative Medicine);
2nd place 3000 m steeplechase and 3rd place 5000 m steeplechase Evgeny Bykov (Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Restorative Medicine);
2nd place 400 m running Radel Kashefazov (Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Restorative Medicine);
3rd place high jump Irina Faizullina (Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology).
