The ex-president Akhmet Mazgarov announced his leave at the Academy’s meeting on May 8. He offered three candidates to fulfill his duties.

The official elections took place on June 16 during the meeting where the results of 2013 were summed up. The new elected President is Myakzyum Salakhov, KFU President (92 votes “for”, 3 votes “against”, 3 bulletins were considered to be invalid).
