On April, 7 Republican subsidiary of “United Russia” held regular stage of primaries in Pestretsy village. Ilshat Gafurov, rector of Kazan Federal University, presented his program together with other candidates for a position of deputy in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The model to be implemented in spring 2014 in Tatarstan has been already used during primaries before elections in the State Duma in 2011. It was the most popular one in regions for determining candidatures for further advance during elections 2013. It considers that the half of electors is set up from the number of representatives of public organizations, the other half – from political parties representatives. This shows openness of a party for a public dialogue. Meeting of candidates and electors are carried out in open areas. Mass media has accreditation access to all stages including votes counting and elections results announcing.

The next meeting of the candidate of primaries KFU rector Ilshat Gafurov with electors will be held in Buinsk on April, 10.
