In a run-up to the 67th anniversary of Victory Day, in bright memory of 20 million casualties of World War II, Kazan Federal University organized Motor Parade and an open meeting

From early morning the songs of the war years gathered drivers, students and university staff who wished to participate in the Motor Parade. Soon the convoy of 67 cars started its movement from the main building of KFU to Gorky Central Park. The sight was mesmerizing: a few dozen cars with flags of Russia, Tatarstan and Kazan University gradually moved through the streets of the city. It is pleasant to note that World War II veterans were able to participate in Motor Parade. In the park they were greeted by university students. The Rector opened the meeting, he congratulated the veterans on this great day and encouraged students to love their homeland, using the example of the older generation: "We should be proud of the place where we work, the place where we study, our republic and our great Russia flourished, "- he appealed to the youth.
In response, the students thanked the veterans of the war for the bright sun, the sky, peaceful and happy life and presented flowers and gifts.
