KFU Starts Cooperation with University College of London

Today, on the 12th of March, the representatives of University College of London (UCL), Dr. Jamie Harle and Prof. Petra Dimmers, visited KFU. The purpose of the visit was to discuss issues relating to opportunity of cooperation between KFU and UCL.

University College of London was organised in 1826. It is a part of the University of London. In 2013 UСL occupied the fourth position in QS World University Standings, having left Oxford, Imperial and Yale colleges behind.

In the framework of cooperation KFU and UCL are planning to launch remote training programs in medical physics and bioengineering on the basis of Kazan University. Today Vice-Rector of KFU for Education, Mr. Riyaz Minzaripov, met with the foreign guests to analyse program launching prospects in more detail.

Dr. Jamie Harle is the director of the program for remote training according to Master’s Degree Program in Medical Physics and Bioengineering in UCL. He has a many years’ experience of remote course elaboration and offering in Open University, the University of Liverpool and University College of London. Jamie Harle is a graduate of Imperial College of London, Oxford University and UCL. Professor is the chairperson of a group of experts on UK IPEM MSc accreditation, which assesses quality of university courses in Great Britain.

The representatives of UСL will stay in Kazan till March 14, 20114. They are planning to visit the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology and Institute of Physics.
