KFU Faculty From Naberezhnye Chelny Branch Work With New Audi And BMW Equipment

Director of Technical Department at Leybold Didactic, Guido Weimer, came to Naberezhnye Chelny branch. He explained us the aim of his visit and told about new electronic equipment to simulate electronic automobile systems. It was installed in the training laboratory of the Department of Electric Power Engineering and Electrotechnics at the Engineering Centre.

The aim of his visit was to show how to apply new equipment in educational process.  It was developed for educational institutions of higher and vocational education. It consists of 13 stands, each of them is designed to simulate the real process that takes place in a car.

The key advantage of this installation is that real car details are mounted on stands.  Each of 13 stands has additional facilities that allow to study the theoretical aspects of electric equipment and automobile electronics. Moreover, these stands can be connected to computer via a special module. Each of stands has its own lap top with corresponding software.

This equipment was installed in 20 countries, virtually all German educational institutions specializing in Technics have such an equipment.

Due to this equipment our students will get an opportunity to study real car details visually and take their characteristics. Furthermore, it will be able to simulate various defects. Faculty members from the Engineering Centre believe that with the help of these stands it will be able to organise short term courses for specialists from car services.
