KFU Student awarded the RF President scholarship and had internship in Germany

Ruslan Mitrofanov, a 5-year student from the Division of History at the Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies, became a winner of Russian scholarship contest organized by RF President to provide opportunities for training abroad. Hence, he had a research internship in the Institute of History, Department of East-European History, Giessen University (Germany).

During the internship in Medical and Central libraries Ruslan discovered a vast amount of relevant information on institutional history of Psychiatrics in German and Russian Empire that made it possible to prepare a qualification work of higher level.

Acquaintance and fruitful collaboration with foreign colleagues, members of Department of East-European History (Professor Bonn, PhD Assistant Kotz) allowed to enhance level of language mastering and continue effective cooperation in future projects.

This internship became real due to efforts of the Directorate of the Institute of History, Head of Department of Historiography and Source Studies Alla Salnikova, research supervisor Svetlana Malysheva and members of the External Relational Office.
