Kazan University Postgraduate Student Participates in Davos Economic Forum

The last weekend finished the 44th annual World economic forum in Davos. It is one of the most prominent events during the  year. More than 2500 representatives of business circles, government agencies and civil society from over 100 countries discussed world`s fate and the most vital contemporary issues.

Since 2011 young people at the age of 20 – 30 participate in the forum as well. They are supposed to establish future business elite.  This year KFU postgraduate student – Dilbar Sadykova – was among 50 invited young participants. She represented the Republic of Tatarstan. Dilbar is the supervisor of Kazan Office of Global Shapers Community that unites young leaders in various activity spheres (currently there are 3000 shapers from 300 cities).     

 The agenda for the Forum 2014 was “World Reform: consequences for society, politics and business”. In whole, forum program that consisted of 250 sessions was focused on the following issues: innovations impact on modern life, prospects for global development, participation of civil society in economic processes, G20, BRICS, issues on global energy security, problems of climate change, future of health care agencies and unemployment among youth.

In 2014 Forum was attended by heads of more than 40 countries, 1500 business leaders, 300 public and international figures.      

Young participants were engaged into sessions on global agenda, closed meetings with international experts, were speakers during sessions on unemployment and young entrepreneurship, supervised meetings with leaders of international organizations and heads of states.
