KFU students volunteer in helping Kazan orphans

Students of Higher School of IT participated in charity activities to support children form one of Kazan orphanages.

A third year student Alla Kolobaeva spoke about the volunteering experience: “It was students’ initiative to raise money for buying gifts and gathering the students. There were about 100 of us overall. The choice of the special school came as a suggestion from a local charity fund – the orphanage for mentally handicapped children. Even though it was only one week before New Year we managed to collect enough toys, clothing and personal items for children. It was rejoicing to see the willingness and generosity among students and faculty. We hope it will become one of our good practices and launch similar charitable activities for the benefit of the youngsters.”
