British expert Barry Gills on crisis issue

Will BRICS be a rival to European Union and the USA? What kind of geopolitical changes will it cause? This and many other issues were touched in the public lecture by Barry Gills, Professor of Political Science from the University of Helsinki.

Opportunity for conducting these lectures was granted by KFU Centre of Cultural Studies of Postsocialism at the Institute of Comparative Studies and Modernity.

The lecture title was Global South and world development crisis: BRICS as a new center of forces.  

Professor spoke on the topic of “globalization” and expressed his opinion that each country has its own development path and its own globalization.

He summed up unpromising conclusion on further development of situation with economic crisis. He thinks that it is impossible to reach absolute success in economic situation  as states contemplate on economic issues in such narrow manner.
