On December, 3 – the professional holiday of the Russian lawyers, was held the annual awarding ceremony the Lawyer of the Year in Moscow.

The ceremony organizer is the Association of the Russian lawyers.  This ceremony was held the fifth year in a row. Prize holders are prominent Russian lawyers who contributed a lot to legal enlightenment, law science, development of the Russian legislation as well as legal education.

This year there were five categories. Dean of the Faculty of Law, Kazan Federal University, Ildar Tarkhanov, was awarded in the category Legal enlightenment.
