Issues on modern criminal and legal policy discussed at KFU

Grand opening of the International Scientific Conference Scientific outlook of Pintkovskiy Sr. and Jr., modern criminal and legal policy

This event was organized by Russian Public Organization Association of Russian Lawyers and KFU. 

Plenary meeting was attended by Tatarstan Prosecutor Ildus Nafikov, Deputy Chairman of Supreme court of Tatarstan Republic for criminal affairs Maxim Belyaev, Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Russian Law Academy of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation Anatoliy Naumov  and many others.

Vice-Rector for Education Riyaz Minzaripov welcomed guests on behalf of KFU administration after the traditional student anthem.

In his welcome address Maksim Belyaev mentioned scientific achievements of father and son Piontkovskiy, as well as their contribution to current state of criminal law.

Scientific part of the plenary session was opened by Anatoliy Naumov who spoke on Criminal Law and Criminological views of father and son Piontkovskiy - representatives of Kazan school of criminal law.

In the plenary session were covered such topics as Probation: history and modernity,  Circle of the general principles of sentencing in the representation of  Piontkovskiy  Jr.,  Neo-classical approach to classical criminal law.

The conference will last two days. During this time, scientists will discuss the basic ideas and contemporary context of the classical school of criminal law and its sociology, theory of crime and problem of reforming criminal law, as well as modern approaches to theory of punishment and al­ternative measures in criminal policy.
