October 16 – Delegation of Hunan Normal University headed by its vice rector Vang Shanping had a meeting with the rector and directors of the institutes at KFU.

Our Universities have been partners for over 20 years already. Yesterday at the meeting the parties discussed potential integration opportunities. Rector Ilshat Gafurov proposed organizing KFU summer schools and also organizing a Center of Russian history, culture, language and literature at Hunan Normal University. Chinese colleagues supported the ideas underlining their high estimation of the established relations.

Ilshat Gafurov also suggested extending the integration of research in direct and potential demand by businesses of China and Russia. He also reminded of the coming year of Russia in China and encouraged everyone to plan the relevant joint activities.

The parties also discussed the extension of academic mobility programs, facilitation of cooperation between KFU and Hunan Normal University and promotion of Tatar language and culture in China.
