RIA News agency is launching Tech in Media academic program, which permits Russian journalists to improve their competence in the field of innovation and venture.

RIA News agency is launching Tech in Media academic program, which permits Russian journalists to improve their competence in the field of innovation and venture. Journalists, bloggers and students studying the specialty “journalism” are invited to participate in the project. Russian Venture Company (RVC) is an intellectual partner of Tech in Media.

There will be 10 lectures and master classes held in the framework of the project from October to November, 2013. During the aforesaid arrangements professional journalists, investors and founders of successful start-ups will tell the audience about distinctive features of innovation and venture investment market, as well as about proper coverage of information on start-ups, innovation fund grant distribution, stories of successful projects in appearing the Russian market etc.

Course participants will meet with representatives of RVC, Almaz Capital and Bioprocess venture funds, as well as with founders of Get Taxi and ABBYY companies. A bright mass media representative, Mr. Mike Batcher, the editor of the famous Internet-resource TechCrunch, will be a special guest of one of the master classes.

A large-scale event – Tech in Media 2013 forum – scheduled for the 29th of November will be the project finale. Its purpose is to create a communication ground for communication between players in the innovation and venture project market – representatives of companies, journalists and bloggers.
